Intro of the project
The previously decaying objects on Čechova Street in Šlapanice near Brno has been transformed into a representative and modern building. After the buildings were returned to the city's administration in 2017 and their condition was evaluated, the decision was made to demolish them and build a new complex.
The project was designed with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability – the roof is covered with greenery and supplemented by a photovoltaic power plant, and the building uses environmentally friendly materials and renewable energy sources. This has made it an example of an innovative and environmentally responsible project, supported by the Brownfield Regeneration for Business Purposes Program.
The new building is divided into two parts: commercial and public. The commercial part will offer residents veterinary and dental clinic, flower shop, hairdresser, beauty salon, bookstore, and fresh bakery. The public part includes social housing and public toilets.
The street facade also features an original work of art that complements the modern architecture of the building.
