Intro of the project
The P3 Ostrava Central industrial park was built on a large brownfield site covering 44 hectares, which underwent extensive decontamination. The abandoned site between Místecká and Rudná streets and between the iconic area of Dolní Vítkovice is being transformed into a dynamic part of Ostrava. Thanks to the design by award-winning architect David Kotek, the complex will naturally connect to the nearby city center and the unique urban concept of the Agglomeration, created by architect Josef Pleskot.
The complex consists of 13 large-scale storage halls with prestigious BREEAM certification, which will be complemented by administrative space and modern facilities for employees. The buildings will be used primarily for logistics, storage, and light manufacturing. The complex will also include main roads, supply yards, parking areas for cars and trucks, and all the necessary infrastructure, including a railway siding. Greenery also plays an important part, covering an area of more than 130,000 m².
The project also considers the future. The land-use plan includes a reserve for future connection to the centre of the regional capital. In addition, a cycle path will be built along the Ostravice River in the neighbourhood of the industrial park. After completion of the first and second stages, approximately 40% of the entire project will be finished, and the location will gradually be transformed into a modern commercial and industrial center that respects history and the surrounding buildings.
