Revitalization Center Malý Újezd

pin Malý Újezd
| Business, Housing, Multifunction

Intro of the project

The municipality of Malý Újezd converted a former coaching inn into a new multifunctional building. The property, which historically served as a coaching inn on the main road linking the town of Mělník and later as a furniture store, had been unused for a long time after its closure and was falling into disrepair.

Thanks to gradual renovation and comprehensive reconstruction, the building now offers a community hall, a bistro, a small shop, and two municipal housing units. The project combines public and community functions with elements of municipal housing and creates a new base for the social life of the municipality.

The project also includes environmentally friendly and energy-saving measures, such as a green roof, a photovoltaic power plant, a heat recovery system, and the use of rainwater for flushing and watering municipal greenery. The building thus achieves a high level of energy savings and contributes to the sustainable development of the municipality.

The revitalization of the brownfield site removed a long-unused building and contributed significantly to the revitalization of the center of Malý Újezd. The project was supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as part of the brownfield regeneration program.
