Intro of the project
The municipality of Únanov successfully completed a major project focused on the regeneration of an unused former farmstead in the heart of the village. The building, which had been falling into disrepair for many years, was demolished and replaced with new, modern, energy-efficient buildings that serve the general public and local entrepreneurs.
Four new buildings were constructed on the revitalized land – a municipal library, a community hall, and buildings intended for business purposes. All of the objects were designed to blend in with the character of the village square and complement surrounding buildings.
These buildings are single-story houses with sloping or hipped roofs, which use modern technologies and materials, such as green roofs. They are terraced properties, sharing some common walls and utilities, which contributes to their energy efficiency and unified appearance.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade contributed to the project with a grant from the Brownfield Regeneration for Business Purposes Program.
